What you will do

Hannah, Tandlewick's estimator, has priced the net rates and the preliminaries; you turn them into a tender, buy the dry lining, value the first month and the first Variation. Price the dry lining, build the tender sum, level three subcontract bids and award the package, put together Interim Valuation 1 with retention and VAT, then value the architect's first Variation and move the contract sum. Every figure is rechecked against the case ledger, and every wrong answer that matches a known mistake is named. Learning outcome: you can build a UK contractor's tender from net cost without double-counting preliminaries, risk or VAT, level an incomplete bid and justify the award, apply SBC retention and the VAT tax point to an interim payment and its notice dates, and value a Variation under the clause 5.6 Valuation Rules.
