Certificates an employer can verify by ID
Each certificate records the construction tasks you completed in OpenConstructionERP. It carries a unique ID and a QR code that opens a public verification page.

Three kinds of certificate
All three are signed, carry an ID and a QR code, and can be checked online. They differ in what you complete and what they state.
Free
Certificate of completion
Free. For a complete country course. It states that you completed every task and lists those tasks.
Professional programme
Professional certificate
For one course of the professional programme. It lists the skills that the course's tasks checked.
Professional programme
Track certificate
For every course of a professional track plus its capstone project. It lists the skills of the whole track.

What is verified, and how
A certificate is issued only when every task passes three automatic checks against your own work in OpenConstructionERP.
Numbers: your figures in the ERP are compared with the worked solution, within a stated tolerance.
Trace: you show where a figure comes from.
Explain: you choose the reason behind a result; common mistakes are named.
Check a certificate
Scan the QR code or enter the ID. The page is read live from the Academy's register, so an edited PDF cannot pass as valid.
The page shows
- Status: valid, revoked or not found
- Holder's name, course and date of issue
- The tasks or skills that were verified
- Never your answers or scores
openconstructionacademy.com/verify/<ID>A certificate names the course version it was earned on; a new course version does not revoke it. A failed check can be retried.
Which course gives which certificate
Every course ends with a certificate. Courses still in preparation are listed with the certificate they will give.

Questions about certificates
How do I add a certificate to LinkedIn?
Open the certificate in your account and choose Add to LinkedIn: the name, issuing organisation, date, ID and verification link are filled in. You can also add it by hand under Licenses & certifications.
How can an employer verify my certificate?
They scan the QR code or open openconstructionacademy.com/verify/<ID> with the certificate ID. The page comes from our register, not from the PDF, and shows whether the certificate is valid.
Can a certificate be revoked?
Yes. If a certificate was issued in error or obtained by misuse, we revoke it and its verification page shows Revoked at once. A new version of the course does not revoke it.
Is it an accredited qualification?
The certificates are not accredited and are not CPD recognised by RICS, CIOB or any other body. They record that you completed checked practical tasks.
What if a check fails?
A failed check can be retried.
In which languages is the certificate issued?
The PDF is issued in any of the 39 languages of the Academy, including right-to-left scripts. Your name appears exactly as you enter it.
